| NU-CAST HI-TEMP MANIFOLD COATING is formulated to duplicate the original color of newly cast metals. It is specially formulated to withstand temperatures of 1500° F and is extremely resistant to heat, gasoline, solvents, degreasers and moisture when properly cured. NU-CAST, CAST IRON MANIFOLD COATING will keep that new look for detailing cast iron manifolds. It is ideal for the antique restorer, show cars or the muscle car re-builder. It can be applied to manifolds, entire exhaust systems, headers or wherever a very hi-temperature coating is needed.
Application: Clean surface thoroughly, removing all grease, oil, loose paint and rust. Sand previously painted surfaces lightly being sure to feather all rough edges. Wipe part to be painted with a tack cloth being careful to remove all dust and paint particles. DO NOT PRIME. Apply NU-CAST directly to the surface to be painted. Apply a smooth even coat and lightly sand for a primer coat or spot prime. Hold can 12 to 16 inches away from the surface and spray in one direction using long even strokes. Repeat the process in the opposite direction. Wait 15 to 20 minutes before re-coating. If you touch up or re-coat surface after 2 hours, a light sanding will be required for best adhesion. Dries to the touch in 30 minutes. When using in temperatures below 70° F, dry time will be significantly increased.
