Changing engine tuning parameters of the computer in your late model vehicle with a programing device in many cases will result in substantial improvements in perfromance and fuel economy.  As well as engine tuning capability, many programers offer the ability to alter transmission shift points, shift firmness and delay upshifts during towing eliminating unnecessary up-down shifts and torque converter-lockup engage-disengagement.  Most of our tuning devices will correct speedometer error that occurs when tire height or gear ratio is changed. You can also identify 'check engine codes' and clear them.  Tuning devices are primarily one of two types, one being a hand held programer that is plugged into the diagnostic port below the dash board temporarily and then removed after programing. The second remains plugged-in and a dash mounted lcd screen relays info to the driver and tuning changes are made using the touch screen.
